Drove from Woodstock to Corbett Nat’l Park yesterday. Doing the animal safari thing. Staying at a great hotel, but Internet not working. Hopefully tomorrow’s hotel will have access.

you know, without pictures, it may not have happened; it may have just been a very graphic dream conjured while you slept waiting for tea-time. we want to see pictures of you at corbett talking to the kitties, cats, tigers and such.
by the way, which hotel (in anticipation of our going there too someday?)

I did get a picture of wild elephants, trust me!
Corbett Hideaway hotel was very nice. However, you need to stay at the lodges inside the park to really see animals. More info in post.

I like what John wrote….for, truth be told, I was visualizing what you might be seeing! I’ve never been to Corbett, but, how I love Bandavgardh, just outside Katni.
Nothing like seeing tigers from a top an elephant. Don’t get any ideas about not sending photos — there’s nothing like seeing the real event! Kath

Doug Nave, John whitcomb, and I have some great memories of Corbett Park in the ’60s. We, the three of us, floated down a river in an inflated raft. We had a close encounter with a garial and a 1 1/2 tusked rogue elephant among other things. Our families were housed in large tents, like being on an old fashioned safari…
